The WinBook Z1 was a Pentium III-based desktop replacement laptop that was released in March 2001. It is based on the Compal N30W & N30W2, which are generic ODM laptops that other brands could rebadge and distribute. Dell also sold the N30W as the Inspiron 5000. The WinBook badged varient seems to be somewhat rare.
Some of these were branded as the WinBook W3 instead of the Z1. I don't know why this was. As far as I know, W3 badged units should be identical to Z1 badged units.
