Common Faults & Maintenance
Hibernation Battery Leaks
The T2400s have a cylindrical NiMH reserve/backup battery inside of them, and this type of battery very often leaks. Remove it ASAP.
Capacitor Failure
This isn't 100% certain, but the T2400s may need recapping to work reliably. Capacitor failure plagued Toshibas from this time, so it's likely to be affected to some extent.
