The outside shell of the M2010 is coated in a soft touch rubber coating. Invariably, this coating will turn sticky and need to be removed.
By its nature, the XPS M2010 uses many proprietary parts. This is worth noting because this can make repairs difficult. For instance the optical drive is a custom part with a window on the top that standard drives won't have. I've heard people mention issues with getting the bluetooth keyboard connected as well, which I suspect could be the keyboard's battery going dead. I'm not actually sure whether the keyboard will work of laptop power alone, but the battery it uses is proprietary.
