Common Faults & Maintenance

CMOS Battery Leaks

The Varta NiMH CMOS battery in the LS is highly prone to leaking and should be removed from every single LS if original. As it is placed directly over the motherboard, even a small leak will be catastrophic.

Hinge Covers

I've seen many of these up for sale with broken plastic on the hinge covers, so it's a likely cosmetic weak point on these.
