Common Faults & Maintenance

CMOS Battery Leaks

The CPt's CMOS Battery is a 6-cell VARTA NiMH pack, located under the palmrest. This type of battery leaks nearly 100% of the time, and will easily cause damage to surrounding components if left unchecked.
