The CTX EzBook 700 Series were a lineup of Pentium laptops, announced in June 1996 and released around August of the same year.
If you have a laptop that looks like this one, but is missing CTX branding and just says "CyberNote" on the bottom, you have one of these.
If you know anything about the modeling scheme of the Macintosh Performa computers of the 1990s, you'll likely know that they're confusing. Apple would assign a different model number to a model for something as simple as a different RAM and Hard Drive configuration from the factory. The CTX EzBook 700 Series modeling scheme is the same. Below is a list of each model and the only UNIQUE specs of each. Below that will be a general specsheet of the different options available.
Model | Unique Specs |
---|---|
720CS | Pentium 120MHz, 8MB RAM, Windows 95 & Plus Pack, DSTN |
722CS | Pentium 120MHz, 16MB RAM, Windows 95 & Plus Pack, DSTN |
725CS | Pentium 133MHz, 16MB RAM, Windows 95 & Plus Pack, ClarisWorks, DSTN |
730CS | Pentium 133MHz, 16MB RAM, Windows 95 & Plus Pack, ClarisWorks, DSTN |
730CDT | Pentium 133MHz, 16MB RAM, Windows 95 & Plus Pack, ClarisWorks, TFT |
750CS | Pentium 150MHz, 16MB RAM, Windows 95 & Plus Pack, ClarisWorks, DSTN |
750CDT | Pentium 150MHz, 16MB RAM, Windows 95 & Plus Pack, ClarisWorks, TFT |
Yep. It's really that confusing. Have you noticed that the 725CS and 730CS are identical? I kept looking back and forth between the spec sheets looking for the difference...but there wasn't one.
