The AST PowerExec is a 386 or 486-based laptop, released in 1992 (I think). It originated the design used in the later Ascentia 900 Series, but lacked a built-in TrackPoint, instead using an external trackball that attached to the front. It also had a gray case rather than a black one. AST made this laptop in-house, but Digital also sold a rebadged version of it. the GRiD 4025 is also a rebadged PowerExec.
