Common Faults & Maintenance

PRAM Battery Leaks

The 1/2AA Lithium PRAM battery in the 700 is very prone to leaking and should be removed. It does not need to be replaced on this model for the computer to operate.

Capacitors

The 660AV's logic board must be recapped as the original electrolytic capacitors on it practically always fail and leak.

Brittle Plastic

The 660AV's plastic parts are very brittle. The drive bezels and case clips are the most common parts to break.
