The Macintosh II was introduced in 1987 as the first non-all in one desktop mac.

Macintosh II Upgrades
The Macintosh II is a highly upgradable system. It features 6 NuBus slots which can take networking cards, video cards, and more. There were also processor upgrades made to get your Mac II up to a 68030 processor.
