The release of the original iMac G3 led to a huge accessories craze. Everything that you could buy for your computer starting coming in translucent bondi blue plastic. Keyboards, mice, floppy drives, printers, speakers, even tables! (I would know, I have one!)
A huge complaint with the iMac G3 was the lack of legacy I/O. The iMac dropped the SCSI, ADB and Serial ports, and of course, the floppy drive. Here's a list of accessories that were available.
The iMac G3 came with a matching translucent keyboard. The color was matched to the iMac you bought. Later models switched to including the Apple Pro Keyboard instead, after much criticism involving the original USB keyboard. While it certainly looked pretty, the iMac's keyboard wasn't very nice to use. The arrow keys were also squished, which annoyed many people.
Oh boy, the mouse. The mouse included with the iMac G3 was the infamous hockey puck mouse. Widely known for how awful it was to use, the mouse was considered the worst in the industry by many people. People criticized the lack of 3 buttons and a scroll wheel, along with the unergonomic shape. In 2000, the puck mouse was replaced with the Apple Pro Mouse, and iMacs started including it instead.
