The Toshiba T4400SX is a 486-based laptop that was released in February 1992. This model is notable for being the only notebook-sized computer that I know of to use a Gas Plasma display. Plasma display panels were usually very bulky and used a lot of power, meaning that they only ended up in luggable-sized laptops, unlike the T4400SX which is very portable. The Plasma display was optional in this laptop, with non-plamsa units using a more typical STN grayscale LCD. Plasma units were labelled as "T4400SXP" on the bottom sticker. They still just say T4400SX elsewhere. This was also Toshiba's last laptop to use a plasma display.
