Unlike previous T3100 models, the T3100SX is affected by the plague of leaking capacitors that are a problem in most Toshiba laptops from the late 80s through the mid 90s. They're likely the same ELNA LongLife-series Low ESR caps that leak horribly in other Toshibas. Any T3100SX is a must-recap, and many will likely be too far gone from corrosion at this point to repair.
