The Toshiba T4900CT is a Pentium-based laptop that was announced around October 1994, and stated to ship in late November of the same year. I believe that this was Toshiba's first Pentium laptop. It cost $7,499 on launch, and was one of the first laptops, if not the first to ship with a low-voltage 3.3V Pentium chip, designed for use in low-power devices, such as laptops.

The T4900CT has an internal NiMH hibernation battery. These batteries are highly prone to leaking, and should be removed on any T4900CT.
While not nearly as bad as older models in the T4000 series, the T4900CT should be recapped. There are several surface mount electrolytics inside these, along with one ELNA brand radial cap that's on the sound card PCB that must be replaced.
