The T4850CT has an internal NiMH hibernation battery. These batteries are highly prone to leaking, and should be removed on any T4850CT.
Other Toshiba laptops from this time are prone to capacitor failure in their internal DC/DC boards. I have no direct data on this one but I wouldn't doubt it's affected too.
