The Toshiba T4700CS and T4700CT were 486-based laptops that were released around March, 1994. They appear to have been released alongside the T4800CT, and the two are very similar machines. The only differences appear to be that the T4700 Series was slower, and had a passive matrix option (T4700CS).

The T4700CS/CT has an internal NiMH hibernation battery. These batteries are highly prone to leaking, and should be removed on any T4700CS/CT. It is located above the secondary LCD display, next to the right hinge.
The T7400CS and T4700CT's internal power supply board has capacitors on it from ELNA. These caps are highly prone to failure, and are also prone to leaking. Regardless of whether your laptop works or not, they should be replaced to prevent future fatal damage. Replacing these caps can bring back dead units with a P30 or P31 error on the secondary LCD display.
