The T2450CT has a cylindrical NiMH reserve/backup battery inside of it, and this type of battery very often leaks. Remove it ASAP on any T2450CT.
Toshiba's plastic is now very brittle. Handle all parts of these laptops with care.
While I can't confirm for this specific model, the Satellite Pro T2xxx series Toshiba laptops seemingly all had ELNA-brand capacitors in them, which fail and leak very frequently. I would recommend a full recap of any T2450CT should they have these caps inside, as they can cause severe damage when they leak.
