Toshiba Satellite Pro T2150CDS and T2150CDT
The Satellite Pro T2150CDS and T2150CDT are 486-based laptops that were released in 1995. They shared a similar design to the previous T2100 Series laptops, but added a sound card and CD-ROM drive.
The T2155CDS is the exact same - the only difference between the two is the software it shipped with.

Common Faults & Maintenance
CMOS/Hibernation Battery Leaks
The biggest issue facing the T2150 series laptops is the VARTA NiMH battery it has inside, located on the bottom right side of the computer. This battery leaks and causes damage to surrounding components. Thankfully, it isn't directly over the motherboard on this model - still, remove it.
Brittle Plastic
Toshiba's plastic is now extremely brittle. Handle all parts of these laptops with care. Luckily, the hinge mounting design on these laptops is well designed, but I have seen a couple with cracked plastic near the hinges.
Bad Capacitors
The DC/DC section of the motherboard in these has several ELNA brand capacitors, which severely leak in laptops just a few years older than this one. I'd highly recommend recapping one of these before time catches up to these 1995 machines.
