Micron TransPort NX

Micron TransPort NX

The Micron TransPort NX is a Pentium II and Celeron-based laptop released around 1999. This one was a rebadged Chicony MP989.

The MP989 is an absolute beast of a laptop. It apparantly beat out Dell's top of the line Inspiron as the best desktop replacement laptop of its day in reviews. Micron's version added a TrackPoint, a feature no other MP989-based laptop had.

Internal Drives

The TransPort NX has two modular bays. The first supports a Floppy drive, ZIP 100 Drive, LS-120 drive, a second battery, or a second hard drive. The second bay supports a CD-ROM or DVD-ROM drive.
