Welcome to the Jetta International Homepage on MacDat!

Jetta International, earlier known as Jetta Computers Co. LTD, was a laptop company based out of New Jersey, with Taiwanese connections. They were founded in 1991 (or 1989, depending on what version of their website you look at...), and were originally an ODM manufacturer of laptops. They saw early success in 1993 as the manufacturer of the first generation WinBook laptops, but struggled after losing the contract in the following year. Their last laptop was released in early 1996 and was seemingly very shortly lived, not being present on their website in late 1996. They continued to manufacture docking stations through 1997, but then ceased their hardware business. From here, the US branch of the company would sell laptops from other ODM manufacturers for many years. In 2006, Jetta was purchased by SourceCode. They continued operation under their's ownership until sometime around late 2016-early 2017 when their website began to redirect to sourcecode.com instead.

Very little information on these laptops remains online, making researching and preserving info on these laptops difficult. Luckily, a good bit of info on them was saved on the Wayback Machine via their websites, jetta.com and jettaus.com. While their website now redirects, their file/driver FTP server is actually still online as of February 2024, and was backed up in 2015 to archive.org as well.
