Common Faults & Maintenance

Solder Failure

T40s commonly suffer from BGA solder failure on the GPU, which will first result in instability/crashing, and will eventually progress to a No-POST condition. This can be fixed temporarily be reflowing the chip, or permanently by reballing it.
