The ThinkPad 765L and 765D were a pair of Pentium MMX-based desktop replacement laptops that were released in 1997. They shared a similar chassis to the 760 Series, but were larger in order to fit a 13.3" display.

The NiMH reserve battery (hidden in the palmrest) is very prone to leaking and should be removed on any 765 to prevent damage.
The rubberized coating used on these ThinkPads nearly always melts/grows sticky with age and has to be scraped off.
