The 230cs has an internal Varta NiMH backup battery that leaks nearly 100% of the time. It is placed over the DC/DC board inside and ruins most of them. If you have one, remove it ASAP.
As this model was only sold in Japan, it is very prone to developing vinegar syndrome.
