IBM Type 2432
The ThinkPad 220 is a 386-based subnotebook that was released in 1993. This model was only sold in Japan. I believe the trackball on this unit is what IBM referred to as the "TrackPoint I", which is why even the original Thinkpad 700/700C has a "TrackPoint II".

Internal photos of the 220 show several SMD electrolytic capacitors, which are prone to leaking and should be replaced. These also have a soldered NiCad battery inside that should absolutely be removed to prevent damage.
As this is a Japan-exclusive machine, Vinegar Syndrome on the LCD is extremely common.
