IBM Power Laptop EWS

The Power Laptop EWS (Executive Workstation?) is a PowerPC 601-based mobile workstation laptop/luggable that was announced by IBM in September 1994 via a product brochure which was only sent out in Japan. The brochure states that it is a preliminary announcement, that the name "Power Laptop EWS" is not final, and that "its commercialization will be based on IBM's technical and business judgement". To the best of my knowledge, no examples of this laptop have ever surfaced in the wild, so it is extremely likely that it was never released.
