The Dual PMD-6000 is a Pentium-based generic/ODM laptop that was released in around April 1997. This laptop was also known as the PMD 6 (PMD stands for PentiMedia). Interestingly, Dual Australia's website stated that "The PMD 6 era was short lived, it proved to be a troublesome notebook as many consumers found it extremely hard to setup." I'm not sure what this could mean. Potentially, it could be that installing a CPU into one was difficult, which would be a major negative to vendors/resellers, as most ODM laptops would ship to resellers without CPUs, RAM, and hard drives. If it took 20 minutes to install a CPU in this laptop when it only took 3 minutes in a laptop from a competing ODM, that would be a major negative for the reseller, which would have made it unpopular. Just speculation though.
