Dell Inspiron 9100

Dell Inspiron 9100

The Inspiron 9100 is a monster of a desktop replacement laptop with a full desktop Pentium 4 "Prescott" CPU in it, released in 2004. They can keep themselves cool (mostly because they're gigantic), but they will get loud under load. The 9100 was designed to be the highest-performance laptop Dell could make, and they sure did it. They even have a built-in subwoofer inside of the BATTERY of all things. It sounds ridiculous, but it works well and the 9100 has the best speaker system in any laptop I've ever used.

A version of this laptop with modified styling was sold as the "Inspiron XPS" - the first XPS gaming laptop released by Dell.
