Seemingly about the same design-wise as the 700 Series but with faster Pentium MMX processors, an AMD option, and other internal component changes and improvements. It also replaced the secondary LCD in between the display hinges with a series of LEDs.
Above is an image of one of the CTX website pages for the 700E. Each one of those links is a separate model in the series, and each model has VERY minor differences. Even something as small as shipping with an included PCMCIA modem would lead to another model name. The laptop itself when ordered would only say EzBook 700E on it. I think the full model number would probably only appear on the serial number, maybe as a way to track the shipping configuration of each laptop for warranty and support? In any case, I'm not writing out here the differences between each one.

Nearly every 700-series EzBook I've seen show up on eBay has broken hinge mounts at the base of the laptop. These will need to be repaired or reinforced in any 700-series EzBook to keep the hinges working. Most of those also had the hinge covers missing as well.
I still need a full shot of a 700E opened and booted! If you own a 700E, see here.
