Compaq Armada 7700 Series - Home
The Aramda 7700 Series were Pentium MMX-based desktop replacement laptops, released by Compaq in 1997. They were the top end of Compaq's laptop lineup upon release, superceding the LTE 5000 Series, which would be discontinued not long after. The Armada 7700 Series laptops do bear a strong resemblance to the LTE 5000 Series laptops as well.
The 7710, 7730, 7750, and 7770 all share the same design, while the 7790 and 7792 have a modified case to accommodate a 13 inch display. The laptop shown on this page is the earlier design.
They are one of only a few laptops I'm aware of to use S3 graphics.
