The Aramda 4000 Series were subnotebooks, initially released in 1996 and updated throughout the next couple years. The Armada 4000s were very modular systems. The laptop had one internal modular bay that could hold either a floppy drive or a battery. A second battery that also doubled as a carry handle could be attached to the back. The laptops supported a CD-ROM "slice" dock, and the standard touchpad was a module that could easily be swapped out for a trackball. This also makes the Armada 4000 Series among the last laptops sold with a trackball, alongside the Dell Latitude XPi CD.
Pretty much all of these will form stress cracks around the hinge mounts on the rear display panel. This is caused by a combination of the plastic becoming brittle with age, along with poor design. The hinge mounting screws go all the way through the rear display panel, placing all the stress on the plastic panel itself, rather than on individual hinge mounts like most other laptops used.
I can't finish this specsheet right now due to missing info. If you can fill any of the blanks, please reach out!
