The Compal TS30H is an MMC1-based generic/ODM laptop that was released in 1997. It shares a similar design to the TS30G from 1996 but uses a newer architecture, along with supporting 13.3-inch displays.
As a generic/ODM laptop, the TS30G was sold under a variety of names. Below is the current list of brands known to have sold them.
I've seen an Inspiron with the OmniBook BIOS on eBay before so they really are completely the same machine.

I'm sure the plastics are brittle on these, but the hinge mounting design must be good as I haven't seen one with cracks yet. What is an issue is the hinge covers - 90% of these on eBay are missing one or both of them. They must be attached very poorly.
