Common Faults & Maintenance
- The TS30CP5's CMOS battery is a soldered 3-cell NiCad battery from Varta. These batteries are very prone to leaking and must be removed from any TS30CP5. If you see a listing for one that won't turn on, it's likely this battery at fault.
- The plastics on the TS30CP5 are very brittle. The display hinge mounts at both the base and the LCD must be reinforced or they will break.
