The Chicony NB7 is a 486-based laptop, introduced around February 1995. So far I've seen only a few of these in the wild, including the generic unit shown on the right, and several sold as the Cannon Innova Book 200LS. The NB7 was build around an 11.3-inch passive matrix display, and appears to have been the first laptop with an 11.3-inch display. Active Matrix displays were also available from Chicony, but all Canon NB7s are passive. The NB7 does have built-in ESS sound, although I currently don't know which specific ESS chip was used - it will either be the 488, 1488, or 688, but I don't know which of the three it has.
This model was sold as/by: Cannon Innova Book 200LS, Ambra, Austin Vista
