Chicony NB4

The Chicony NB4 (also known as the NB4E) is probably a 486-based subnotebook that was released in 1994. I found the photo of this laptop in a print ad that Chicony ran in BYTE Magazine (see below). Two of the laptops in the photo are the NB5 and NB7, which were already known to me. The ad mentions the SRA, a Chicony Pentium laptop that I previously only knew about via its FCC records. As it was Chicony's first Pentium laptop, there's no way it was the subnotebook in the print ad. That just leaves this subnotebook. It's too early to be the MP-980, and as it has a TrackPoint, it can't be any of the earlier Chicony subnotebooks like the SN8660. This leaves the NB4E as the only unknown laptop in Chicony's FCC records that this subnotebook could be. The NB4's FCC records also mention an included external floppy drive, which would make sense for a subnotebook.
