The Chicony MP979 is a Socket 7 laptop that is compatible with a variety of Intel and AMD CPUs. It shares a similar design to the older MP975, but is modified to be a 3-spindle design (Floppy, CD-ROM, hard drive all built-in), where the MP975 uses a modular bay. I have far more information on this laptop than what is currently on this page thanks to orphanlaptops, and I'll be adding more soon. Just know for now that there are several revisions of the MP983 with various minor differences.
