The Chicony MP982 is a dedicated AMD K6-2/K6-3 Socket 7 laptop. While designed around AMD chips (and that's how Chicony advertised it), it DOES have support for Intel 200 and 233MHz Pentium MMX chips. See here for CPU switch settings.
