This section of the site has one goal - document every single laptop released between roughly 1990 and 2005. I expect this project to take several years, even if I am consistently working on it for the whole time. It may never happen, we'll see.
While brands big and small will be documented here, preserving information about the smaller and more obscure brands is my largest goal.
A "completed" page will include tech specs, repair information on common faults, a resources page with driver downloads and/or manuals and other documention, and an image gallery. For a good example of this, you can check the pages on the WinBook 486SLC/SX DX series of laptops. Speaking realistically though, many pages will likely only include the specifications and some more generic repair info that affects most 90s laptops. Such is the reality of the level of information that can be found for many brands.
While I write every page myself, this project wouldn't be possible without the many people who have sent in information, photos of laptops, and other details that have helped me immensely. If you would like to become one of them, please contact me! I am especially in need of photos of laptops (INCLUDING those that do not yet have pages here).
