Capacitor Reference - Macintosh II

• Revision A Logic Board

• The revision A Mac II board uses much more robust Axial electrolytic capacitors instead of the leak-prone Surface-Mounted caps. As such, it isn't mission critical to recap the first revision Mac II (but you probably still should - they're old).

• 3x 470uf 16v (Axial)
• 1x 220uf 16v (Axial)
• 7x 47uf 16v (Axial)


• Revision B Logic Board

• The Rev B board switched to Surface-Mounted electrolytic caps, which do leak. This model should be recapped immediately before any use.

• 3x 470uf 16v (Axial)
• 1x 220uf 16v (Axial)
• 13x 47uf 16v (Surface-Mount)
• 1x 10uf 16v (Axial - Surface-Mount pads are also available, so replacing with an SMD cap is possible)
